12 / 16 (event) Miss Rosie Performs in Dubai (Hero Hoops office closed) (all day) Start: 12/14/2008 - 12:00am End: 12/20/2008 - 11:59pm Miss Rosie will travel with Anah "Hoopalicious" Reichenbach and Jamie Bechtold (Hoopnotica) to Dubai, where they will perform on the mainstage opening the Dubai International Film Festival. The three world class hoopers will be lowered from the rafters on lyras (supsended aerial hoops), and will dance a choreographed piece together. An indoor Saturday jam for our East Bay hoop community! December's jams are experimental on two fronts: 1) Will you, members of the East Bay hoop community, support a Saturday hoop jam? And 2) Is 7th Heaven a large enough space for us to hold such a jam? This is not a Hero Hoops jam. This is a community jam for any and all members of our hoop community. What it is: Three classes over three weeks for intermediate and advanced hoopers to bring their questions on moves and tricks with a single hoop. How it works: The class will be loosely structured, and will offer students a space to hoop and ask questions as they come up. Some material will also be planned by Rosie & Rich. How to prepare: Make a list of moves you have questions on, and bring it to class. more info
