Training is held Friday February 27th 2:00 - 6:00 p.m., Saturday February 28th 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and Sunday March 1st, 2009 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Hero Hoops Teacher Training Level 1
Learn the basics of teaching hoopdance safely and effectively, along with the Hero Hoops Series 1 content in this teacher training.
Gain the knowledge you need to become a successful hoopdance teacher. Learn how to teach
over 25 beginner and advanced beginner moves safely, and gain
experience with essential teaching equipment and teaching practices.
Day Two focuses on hoop moves competence, practical application of the
Day One information, and hands-on training.
This teacher training is open to those who possess the basic hooping skills taught in the Hero Hoops Series 1A and Series 1B. (For those of you who are out of the area, Series 1-A and 1-B cover beginner hoopdance moves).
Day One, Friday January 9th, 2009: Teaching Basics
4 hours covering comprehensive teaching basics in how to convey
hoopdance technique safely and effectively in a motivating environment. Day One is a very important day, and covers
the content of the comprehensive Hero Hoops Instructor Training Manual.
Day Two, Saturday January 10th, 2009: Practical Application
8 hours of practical training where you will apply the knowledge from Day One in class practice sessions.
Day Three, January 11th, 2009: Continued Practical Training & Moves
Day Three offers further education on hoop moves, an additional 8 hours of practical hands-on training, a practical exam, and a written exam. Includes technical workshops for you to learn further moves,
tricks, and skills and polish your technique.
Organic lunch and snacks are provided both days.
After completion of the Hero Hoops Teacher Training, if you would
like to teach with Hero Hoops, you will gain access to teachers-only Hero Hoops resources, such as newsletters, training and social gatherings, and a practical teachers-only DVD. After
passing the certification exam with a grade of 85% or higher, you may
be listed on the Hero Hoops website as an exceptional hoopdance teacher.
